Emojis have to be square, so a non-square source is scaled to fit inside the 128 x 128 box and padded with transparent pixels on the short side - your subject keeps its proportions and nothing is cropped. The 256 KB cap is roomy (most artwork lands at 20-80 KB), and this maker outputs static PNG; animated emojis are GIFs and need Nitro on most servers.
