How do I print multiple photos on one page?

Upload your photos, pick the photo size and the paper size, then download the PDF and print it at 100% scaling. That is the whole flow. With 'Fill the sheet' on, the page is divided evenly between the photos you uploaded; with it off, you set an exact number of copies for each. Which print sizes are available?

Wallet (2 x 3 in), 4 x 4 in square, 3.5 x 5 in (3R / L), 4 x 6 in (4R), 5 x 7 in (5R), A6 postcard, and A5. There is also a full set of ID sizes - 35 x 45 mm, 2 x 2 in, 50 x 70 mm and more - for passport and visa photos, and a custom box that takes any width and height in millimetres or inches.

Which paper sizes does it support?

3.5 x 5 in (3R), 4 x 6 in (4R / 10 x 15 cm), 5 x 7 in (5R / 13 x 18 cm), 6 x 8 in (6R), 8 x 10 in (8R), 8 x 12 in (S8R), 11 x 14 in, A6, A5, A4, A3, Letter, Legal, and Tabloid - each in portrait or landscape. A4 is the default because that is what most home printers are loaded with.

Will the printed photos come out at the exact size I picked?

Yes, if you print at 100% - also labelled 'Actual size' or scaling 'None' depending on the print dialog. Never use 'Fit to page', which rescales everything. The PDF export creates a page at the true millimetre dimensions of your paper so 100% is a straight one-to-one print. The JPG and PNG exports are stamped with a real DPI tag as well, which Windows Photo Printing, macOS Preview, and photo labs read.

How do I control the crop of each photo?

Every photo is centre-cropped to fill its cell without distortion. Tap a thumbnail below the preview to select a photo, then use the Zoom slider to scale it and the two position sliders to move the crop left, right, up, or down. Each photo keeps its own framing, so a portrait and a landscape source can sit on the same sheet, both filling their cells properly.

What DPI should I choose?

300 DPI is the default and the right answer for photo printing - it is what photo labs and good inkjet printers work at. 600 DPI doubles the pixel count for fine-art printing and makes a much larger file. 150 DPI is for quick drafts on plain paper. Whatever you pick, the pixel dimensions of the sheet are shown under the DPI buttons so you know exactly what you are getting.

Can I use iPhone HEIC photos?

Yes. Drop .heic or .heif files straight from your Camera Roll, AirDrop, or the Files app and ImgShifter decodes them locally in your browser with a WebAssembly module before laying out the sheet. JPG, PNG, WEBP, AVIF, and GIF all work too, and you can mix formats in one batch.

How is this different from a collage maker?

Getting the physical size right

Pick the photo size and the paper size, and the tool fits as many copies as physically will go, centred on the sheet. Sizes are held in millimetres, so 2 x 2 in is a true 50.8 mm square rather than a rounded approximation. The count at the top right of the panel updates live as you change paper, margin, or gap - eight 35 x 45 mm photos on a 4 x 6 print, six 2 x 2 in, thirty-six 35 x 45 mm on A4.

Printing at 100%

Always print at 100% - it may be labelled 'Actual size' or scaling 'None'. 'Fit to page' rescales the sheet and every photo comes out the wrong size. The PDF export builds its page at the paper's exact millimetre dimensions so 100% is a one-to-one print. The JPG and PNG exports carry a real DPI tag (300 by default) that Windows Photo Printing, macOS Preview, and photo labs read, but the print dialog's scaling setting still has to be 100%.

Why photos turn sideways

Auto-rotate turns the cells on their side when that fits an extra row - the reason eight 35 x 45 mm passport photos land on a 4 x 6 print instead of six. Each cut-out piece is still the correct size with an upright subject once you turn it the right way up; it only lies sideways on the sheet. Turn the toggle off if you would rather keep every photo upright on the paper. Square sizes are never rotated.
