Useful to know
Why convert PNG to JPG
JPG produces small file sizes for photographs and has universal support across browsers, email, and CMSes. Note: JPG does not preserve transparency - any transparent areas in the source are filled with white.
Privacy and processing
PNG, JPG, and WEBP conversions run entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. The image never uploads to a server, which keeps the operation fast and your file private.
PNG to JPG online with ImgShifter
PNG to JPG is the conversion people reach for when a file is simply too big for where it needs to go: a screenshot that exported as a 4 MB PNG, a design handoff that needs to be emailed, a scanned form that a portal rejects. JPG stores photographic content in a fraction of the bytes, and for anything without transparency or razor-sharp line art, the visual difference at ImgShifter's 92% quality setting is effectively nil.
The conversion itself is three steps, all in your browser: the PNG is decoded by the Canvas API, transparent pixels are flattened onto a white background (JPG has no alpha channel), and the result is encoded as JPEG. Drop several files at once and each is converted in sequence, with individual downloads or a single ZIP at the end.
Know the trade before you commit: JPG is the wrong destination for logos, icons, and text-heavy UI screenshots, where its frequency-based compression smudges hard edges - those should stay PNG or go to WEBP. And because everything runs locally, you can confirm the privacy claim directly: load the page, open the DevTools Network tab or disconnect entirely, and convert.
